There’s just something magical about cookies that taste amazing and look adorable. These Chocolate Chip Teddy Bear Cookies are little bundles of joy — sweet, huggable (almost), and guaranteed to make everyone who sees them smile. Bonus: they’re just as fun to bake as they are to share!

🧈 Ingredients
Dry Ingredients:
6¾ cups all-purpose flour
4½ tsp (1½ tbsp) baking powder
3 tsp (1 tbsp) baking soda
3 tsp cornstarch
Wet Ingredients:
2¼ cups dark brown sugar
¾ cup granulated sugar
6 cold eggs
2 tbsp caramel emulsion (Here)
3 cups (6 sticks) salted butter, slightly softened
4½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Add-ons:
Black cookie icing (Here)
White chocolate melting wafers
🧁 Instructions
Prepare Dry Mix: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and cornstarch. Set aside.
Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, dark brown sugar, granulated sugar, and caramel emulsion. Mix until fully incorporated.
Add Eggs: Incorporate the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully mixed before adding the next.
Combine Dry and Wet Ingredients: Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Fold in Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Shape the Teddy Bears:
Measure out 2.60 oz of dough, roll into a circle, and flatten slightly to form the head.
Measure out 0.28 oz balls for the ears and attach them to the head.
Chill the Dough: Place the shaped dough on a baking sheet and freeze for at least an hour, preferably overnight, to minimize spreading.
Bake: Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C). Bake the cookies for 18 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
Decorate:
Once cooled, attach a white chocolate wafer to the center of each cookie for the snout.
Use black cookie icing to add eyes and a nose.
🎨 Decorating Tips
For a touch of personality, consider adding a small bow tie or blush using colored icing.
If you don't have caramel emulsion, a combination of vanilla extract and a hint of molasses can be a suitable substitute.
